Organic Castor Oil, Virgin

Our Castor Oil is cold pressed from the organic seeds of the Castor Plant (Ricinus communis), thus retaining its valuable nutrients. It is heavier in texture than other vegetable oils, yet very mild and odorless.

About Our Vegetable Oils

  • We both manufacture and source only the finest quality products from highly regarded suppliers from all around the world, many of whom we’ve worked with for decades.
  • Our In-house Quality Control Laboratory has experienced technicians to provide a complete and thorough product analysis of all of our vegetable oils.

Uses

Vegetable oils are flavorful and provide many essential nutrients to the body, and they make a healthy and nourishing addition to body care products and a flavorful addition to culinary dishes and baked goods.

  • Castor Oil has a variety of uses, from pharmaceuticals to cosmetics and skin care products.
  • It has an emollient effect, and can be used as an ingredient in skin care products and cosmetics, including massage oils and creams.
  • Can be used in hair care products.
  • Modern non-medicinal uses for castor oil include being used as a food additive in the food industry and a potential mold inhibitor.

Ingredients: Organic Castor Oil (Ricinus communis), Virgin.

Packaging: To preserve and maintain their beneficial properties for years, our 4 fl oz and 16 fl oz Vegetable Oils are packaged in light resistant, dark glass amber bottles with a pressure sealed lid and a taper seal poly liner. This elegant bottle is the perfect way to protect light-sensitive liquids, because the dark amber glass helps prevent light degradation. The 1 gallon sizes are packaged in a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) jug, with a tight-fitting plastic lid to help protect contents from moisture and air.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, and avoid direct sunlight and heat. Preserving Oils: If stored improperly for long periods of time, the oils may become rancid. They have a minimum 2 year shelf life when stored properly. When making products with vegetable oils, you can also add 2% Vitamin E Oil to act as a natural preservative.
